Who?
Any student at Emerald High is eligible. No experience is needed. If you want to learn a new instrument, then we'll teach it to you. Students who have experience are invited to continue with their music education. We offer multiple levels of music.

When?

Why?

Band and orchestra is a fun and informative class. They will assist Emerald High in building the identity, image, and culture. Music also completes the arts requirement and students can build their skill to enroll in a higher level music class. Last but not least, band and orchestras travel to different destinations and you will make new and fun memories that will last a lifetime with your friends!

Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Chamber Orchestra are honors classes which means students will receive a higher GPA weight. Please note: These three classes are honors classes but they are not weighted in college prep GPA if taking in freshman year. The GPA weight will only apply for grades 10-11.
